This is the page I dedicate to fangirling over Agent Smith, from The Matrix trilogy!!
Q: Who TF is Smith?
For anyone who's not seen The Matrix (that would be shocking) or needs a little refresher, Smith (previously known as Agent Smith) is the primary antagonist of The Matrix trilogy of films! He starts out in the first film as an Agent program, created to keep order in The Matrix - he ensures that people do not realise the truth of their simulated reality, and to terminate rebels who have been awakened to the real world. Something isn't quite right about him, however, as he expresses more human-like emotions compared to his 2 co-workers, Agents Brown and Jones. He has a rivalry with Neo, our main rebel who is said to be "The One", and Smith goes out of his way to pursue him over and over again. At the end, when Neo's powers are fully awakened, Neo jumps inside of Smith and blows him up...
When he returns in the next film, The Matrix Reloaded, he reveals that he has rejected his own deletion from the Matrix - he operates as an Exiled program, and takes instructions from nobody but himself. He loses the earpiece, and dons a jet black suit instead of the standard dark grey-green that Agents usually have. And of course, his main ability now - he can copy himself onto other entities in the Matrix, turning them into himself. His primary target is still Neo, and he gets very close to turning both him and Morpheus into clones... Smith is also able to overwrite himself onto a man called Bane in the real world...
In the final film, The Matrix Revolutions, we see Bane go up against Neo, revealing himself as Smith under the flesh. Neo loses his vision, but is able to beat Bane. Later on, in the Matrix, we see that he's changed everyone inside into himself. He has a final battle with Neo. He chooses to go up against him with just one clone, leaving the others to watch on as they battle it out. Neo is able to defeat Smith and save humanity (R.I.P. Smith... I miss him!! q_q)
This isn't a 100% recap (I CANT POSSIBLY COVER EVERY DETAIL CAN I???) but there's the rundown of MY BELOVED SMITH!!
Q: How'd you become a CrAzY fangirl for this guy?
Where do I begin? Ah yes, the beginning n_n... I watched The Matrix for the first time however many years ago (I forget...). I thought Neo and Trinity were teh coolest at first (no h8 to them tho, they're still BADASS!!) I wasnt fully into the movies at this time. I liked teh action but other than that, wuz pretty out of teh loop with the story.
Years later, I rewatched it and still luv'd it! I wanted to get into the sequels next, so I started watching Reloaded and OH, SWEET LORD... THAT CHANGED ME 4EVA. I FELL IN LOVE WITH SMITH. When he came back and we got to see his replicating powers, my jaw DROPPED... Neo and Trinity's sex scene and Persephone kissing Neo kinda put me off of them as characters for sum reason... now, I was squealing every tiem Smith and all of his clonez came up on the screen. I continued onto Revolutions and I wuz even MOAR obsessed!!! His expressions were insane by the end of Revolutions. I drew him for a few weeks, then I moved onto loving somethin else... god damn it, Cy! -o-
Fast forward a bit, Agent Smith got added to Multiversus' roster and HOLY SHIZ!!! I QUICKLY CAME BACK ROUND TO HIM. I LUV his model and voice acting (courtesy of Sky Soleil) in Multiversus, I think he's my fav interpretation of Smith! I FELL DEEP in love with him again, currently been obsessing over The Matrix and Agent Smith for a year straight (almost two) now. I have pictures of him up in meh room, and at my desk at university, so I can alwayz look @ him. I have rewatched the films countless timez now. I have OCs to pair up with Smith so I can indulge in my weird fangirlish fantasies. I love this smoking hot program-of-a-man!!
Q: What do you like about Smith?
Oh gosh, what don't I like about him? The entry point for my attraction to him was definitely his ability to clone, and I quickly got obsessed with his mannerisms and monologues throughout the films (I often recite them to myself at random points of the day o_o). His expressions and feelings get more and more pronounced over the trilogy, and he hates that he feels so strongly. He could have been a good guy if someone gave him a hug (someone like MEH O3O). I also love when a guy is not exactly human.
Q: Do you get jealous if other people like Smith?
No way! I'd hate to be possessive over a fictional character. The more Smith freaks, the merrier! If you like Smith as much, or even more than I do, I wanna meet ya. Like SO BAD. Let me fangirl with you. PLZ.
